ELS and our Nepalese partner are expanding our sustainable farming project for Sapindus mukorossi trees.  Our goal is to plant thousands of Sapindus mukorossi trees in the Himalayan Mountain range each year.  This important project ensures the continuation of one of Nepal’s greatest natural resources.  These trees will provide hundreds of additional new jobs with fair wages, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and increase economic prosperity to one of the world’s poorest countries.  In addition to our sustainable farming project, we will coordinate educational workshops to help local people understand why these precious trees need to be protected, and how the fruits benefit their lives and economy.
